About Me

My name is Lisa.  My life had gone pretty much as planned: had a wonderful childhood with a great family, graduated high school, went to college, got a job right out of college.  I never expected to move across the country right after college, but that was a good experience.  I got married to my first true love in June of 2005.  He finished college while we lived out west.  Then we decided to move back to our home state.  Luckily we both found jobs pretty easily.  We had our first daughter, Sierra, in April of 2008.  I had always dreamed of having a little girl, so life was good.  I even found a better job when I went back to work after she was born - 10 minutes from our house.

Our journey to complete our family is where life didn't go as planned.  I had a miscarriage in August of 2009, and while it was hard, I was ok with it by the time I got pregnant again in January of 2010.  We were so excited to complete our family with another little girl, but God had other plans for us.  Our second daughter, Adelyn, was born on September 29, 2010 and went to Heaven 18 minutes after her birth.

After the most difficult year of my life, grieving our daughter while expecting our son - our family is complete. We welcomed our rainbow baby boy, Coen, in October of 2011.  He has restored so much joy in our lives, although we still miss Adelyn.

Other things about me - I am sort of addicted to Facebook.  I love to write and express myself better that way than any other way, always have.  I work as a speech therapist in the schools, and I love it.  I wish I could do my  job part time, that would really be the best option for me.  I love getting out of the house and using my knowledge, but I hate not having enough time to enjoy my kids as much as I would like or do things that I want to do for fun.  I love to read but rarely have time to sit down and do it.  I usually watch TV instead to relax, because it requires less thinking!  I LOVE to shop, especially for my kids.  It's like a game to me to find the best bargain out there.
